When people look down on guerilla marketing techniques. The simple truth is most people won’t break through in the traditional manner. Most people won’t ever be able to grow an organic mailing list from scratch without some serious help.

In order to make $100,000 selling $2.99 ebooks, do you have any idea how many you need to sell?

Almost 50,000.

There is almost no way to expect a young writer to find 50,000 readers without some serious help.

Enter, guerilla marketing. Building mailing lists for people. Running different marketing campaigns, etc.

Most people don’t have unlimited marketing dollars, especially when they start, to do things the “right way”.

So, they have to do it the most efficient way, and often that includes things which the establishment would turn up their noses at.

However, they work.

That’s what matters at the end of the day. They are legal, and they work. I’ve watched them work to bring authors and other artists out of obscurity.

Shame on you for looking your nose down at it, just because you were able to do it the “right way”, whatever that means.

The rest of us have to get there by any means possible, no matter what it takes. As long as its legal and not hurting anybody, it’s fair game.
