Flow

I learned a long time ago that it is easier to flow around an obstacle then to try and smash through it.

There is almost always another way around that requires less effort, and if there isn’t then that is probably not the right path anyway.

Not always, but the overwhelming majority of the time.

It is hard enough to flow down even the easiest path. I refuse to waste my finite resources trying to smash mountains down unnecessarily as well.

If I did, I would down in the current.

If I did that, then I would have nothing left to expend on the things that really matters and the battles truly worth fighting.

Because they do exist, those fights worth fighting.

Sometimes, there is no choice but to smash against those rocks, and when those moments come, you need all your strength to break through.

If you have expend all your energy on the fights that don’t matter, you will have nothing left for the ones that do.

You might not get your plan A following this advise, but you will progress down the river further than you thought possible, and have the energy to take on all the battles you fight asking the way.
