Launch the thing already!

I’m a planner. Quite a planner, actually, especially when it comes to launching products.

I tend to launch big projects, and only when the entire project is complete. I am all for waiting until the timing is right, and you can maximize your potential. But, on the other hand, sometimes you just have to launch the thing and see how it does.

Eventually, once everything is checked and double-checked, all you can do is launch the thing and hope for the best. After all, eventually, there’s nothing else you can do to prepare. Eventually, you’ve run out of checks and it’s time to send it off into the world.

Here’s the cruel twist of fate.

No matter how much you prepare, it’s probably not going to go as well as you expect…at least not at first. So especially for your first projects, just get them out there. There are no expectations. If they suck…nobody will even notice. If they are great…probably nobody will notice. Sure, you always want the maximum amount of people to be exposed to your brand, but honestly, you’re waiting too long to launch.

Listen to me, as a friend, and really hear my words.

Just launch it already. You’ve waited long enough. We’re sick of hearing about it. We want to see it already. Just do the thing already. If the launch sucks, then just relaunch it, and if that one sucks, just relaunch it again.

Or launch the next thing. But you gotta launch, cuz I am all for waiting, but it’s time to just launch the it already so you can do better next time.
