It’s funny.

It’s just as easy to speak to an audience of 50,000 than it is to speak to an audience of 50.

Before I broke through and had success, or an audience, writing those emails and launching those books was super tedious. I was doing a ton of work for very little return.

It felt worthless to spend hours talking to just a few people, but I kept doing it, and eventually 10 became 100 became 1,000 became 10,000+…

…but the workload didn’t increase much.

It’s just as hard to spend $100 on Facebook ads as $1,000, except for the cost, that is, of course.

The habits you instill in yourself now are the ones that pay off when you have an audience.

The good good habits I made when I was younger are the ones that pay off now that I have an audience.

However, if you’re looking to leverage your time better, then it’s just as easy to speak to 100,000 people than it is to speak to 100 people. Once you’re setting up the email, or the FB ad, or the social media post, your time is your time.

Every week I spend 2-4 hours recording the podcast for this site, but once it’s done, then whether 100 or 10,000 people download it, the time I spent is the same. The results are what change.

It’s the scale that makes the actions more valuable, which is why I spend an outmoded amount of my time on how to scale things because once you have the mechanism in place, it takes just as long to do something for a few people as it does to do it for many.
