Simple as that

It is very easy to get lost in the ether. Most things that I have loved in my life have been forgotten.

However, when I find that thing again, I am thrilled to remember it.

You are that thing to some people. Your work will be loved by some people. Your job is to makebsure they don’t forget you…

…and that when they do, you have ways to jog their memory and remember you again.

This is basically marketing, in a nutshell.

-Find people who are likely to love your work

-Convince then you are worthy of their time

-Wow them with your products

-Make sure they don’t forget about you

-Keep launching new things to delight them

-Remind people how much they like your work

-Get them to buy again

-Repeat

It’s as complicated and simple as that. That’s why I don’t understand people who hate marketing.

At the end of the day it’s about finding people who grok what you do and jamming out with them about things you love.
