We are watching

I keep a watchful eye on people when they say things. Most people say they want to be successful, but are unwilling to do what it takes to become successful.

I watch them year over year, as they try to same things that didn’t work before, and I see them trying them again. They wonder why they never get ahead, but I know why…and I’m not the only one watching.

We all watch.

We watch as our advice is thrown away and discarded. We watch when new projects launch.

You might not think so, but we all watch. It’s not one event, or even a handful that determines a career, but there is a pattern to success, and that is why we watch.

We don’t watch constantly. It’s a moment there and a second here, whenever we poke our heads out from our busy schedules. We watch to see who’s not a waste of time. We watch to see who’s improving and who’s just complaining.

We take notice of those that try new things and do new things. Those are the ones we want to help. Those are the ones that tend to get ahead. Those are the ones we’re eager to help.
